Vena Stuart Elementary School, located at 780 Hart Street in Gallatin, Tennessee, is a public K–5 institution within the Sumner County Schools district. Named after Miss Vena Stuart, a lifelong educator in Gallatin, the school honors her dedication to teaching and the community .
Historical records indicate that the school has been serving students since at least the mid-1950s. A report card from the 1954–55 academic year for a 7th-grade student at Vena Stuart Elementary was discovered during a home renovation, highlighting the school's longstanding presence in the community
Today, Vena Stuart Elementary serves approximately 730 students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. It is recognized as the most diverse elementary school in Sumner County, with a significant population of economically disadvantaged students and a growing number of English language learners . The school has implemented the Wit & Wisdom curriculum, focusing on rich texts and enhancing students' writing and speaking skills.
